Watt Differences & New Brake Rod Assembly

Schwinn AC Performance Plus

Symptom:

AC Performance Plus WITHOUT watts computer (MPower™ console V2):

 In some rare cases, a slight amount of resistance may be noticeable on the pedals even with the

resistance knob adjusted to the zero resistance position.

AC Performance Plus WITH watts computer (MPower™ console V2):

 Less watts shown on the MPower™ console than felt on the pedals.

Root Cause:

In some instances the resistance/brake rod used on the AC Performance Plus may be too short causing the brake

carriage to stop BEFORE it reaches the true zero position (Fig. 1).

All bikes with serial number 100178DAY12520198 and newer come with the new resistance/brake rod.
